Being part of the Coalition
Our coalition adheres to a certain set of standards/guidelines that, by joining, you agree to follow as well.
These include:
Following safe housing guidelines as set by the State of California Health and Safety code, including but not limited to:
Working bathroom and Kitchen facilities
Safe(and finished) flooring and dry wall
proper ventilation throughout the house/dwelling
Fire/Carbon monoxide detectors
Amount of people per room based on the allowable square footage(ex. 50 sq.ft. per one resident)
There should be enough room for each occupant to move comfortably around beds and wardrobe(walking or wheelchair) without an furniture blocking a door way.
Residents should only be sleeping in rooms designated as a bedroom. Cannot have residents sleeping in hallways, living spaces, unfinished garages, etc.
Free from pest(bed bugs, rats, lice etc.)
There must be adequate heating and cooling throughout the residence
Must willingly comply to a house walk through so that the quality of the home can be verified.
Board and Care owners MUST BE LEGALLY LICENSED through the State of California(be able to show proof of having that license)
Members agree to important information regarding client transfer or placement(behavioral, medical, financial issues etc.)
Agree to a transfer of a rent payment(if applicable) when moving a client from on residence to another
Sacramento R&B/B&C Coalition are working to become a standard within the Sacramento County area. We are seeking individuals who are looking to compassionately house our most vulnerable community members and understand that regardless of an individuals current circumstances all people deserve safe(livable) housing.
